Since our foundation in September 2019, we have been the central point of contact for AI in the Hamburg metropolitan region as an interdisciplinary competence center for artificial intelligence. As a registered association, we promote the networking of science, business and society and are proud to be the official AI initiative of the City of Hamburg and a member of the European Excellence Initiative EDIH – Innovation for Europe made in Hamburg.

To cover the entire spectrum of AI activities and developments, the ARIC brings together leading AI experts from science, business and society. Whether start-ups, established companies or research institutions - our community brings a wide range of perspectives and expertise to advance AI applications in a practical way.

In addition to artificial intelligence, we are also home to the Hamburg Quantum Innovation Capital (hqic) - an initiative to promote quantum technologies.
