Who is ARIC?

The Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) is the leading center of excellence for artificial intelligence (AI) in northern Germany and the official AI initiative of the City of Hamburg. ARIC was founded in 2019 as a non-profit association with the goal of advancing the development, application, and dissemination of AI technologies in the Hamburg metropolitan region and beyond. The City of Hamburg is a founding member of ARIC e.V., alongside representatives from business and academia.

As a non-profit, registered association, we serve as the official bridge between business, academia, and society, bringing together companies, research institutions, startups, and public institutions to jointly harness the potential of artificial intelligence in a human-centered and responsible manner (Responsible and Trustworthy AI).

Our interdisciplinary team of experts supports stakeholders from various industries in integrating AI technologies, offers professional development opportunities, and promotes networking within national and international AI ecosystems.
