About the project

The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg promotes quantum technology developments with a focus on quantum computing (QT/QC) in the metropolitan region. With the initiative Hamburg Quantum Innovation Capital (hqic)a central, cross-industry contact, coordinator and ecosystem builder of quantum technology activities has been established to further develop the quantum technology ecosystem with a focus on quantum computing in the metropolitan region together with all relevant stakeholders.

Focal points

Hamburg Quantum Innovation Capital (HQIC) pools expertise, resources and networks in the field of quantum technologies in order to develop Hamburg into a leading location for this pioneering key technology. The focus is on the close integration of research, business and politics in order to facilitate innovation and accelerate the transfer of new findings into practice.

Goal

The aim of HQIC is to build a dynamic ecosystem through targeted support and cooperation that promotes the use of quantum technologies in industry and society. The aim is not only to increase the region’s competitiveness, but also to pave the way for groundbreaking applications that will provide sustainable economic and scientific impetus in the long term.
