About the project

The requirements for critical infrastructures are constantly changing and new solutions need to be evaluated and implemented – from general digitalization topics and cyber security issues to artificial intelligence, distributed infrastructures and high-performance computing.

Focal points

The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) Hamburg pools expertise, technologies and networks to support companies and public institutions in Hamburg and the surrounding area in their digital transformation. Targeted advice, training and technological offerings create a central point of contact that makes modern solutions accessible and connects stakeholders. In this way, EDIH Hamburg promotes the transfer of knowledge and makes a significant contribution to driving forward digital innovations in a wide range of industries.

The digital transformation of the Hamburg metropolitan region is supported by the formats on offer:
  • Development & support of the entire local innovation community (Innovation Ecosystem and Networking)
  • Provision of training and courses for key technologies (Skills & Training)
  • Facilitating the path to technology (test before invest)
  • Creating access to financial resources (Support to find Invest)

Goal

The primary goal of EDIH Hamburg is to strengthen the region’s competitiveness in the digital age. By small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), small and medium-sized enterprises and public administrations and public administrations to implement the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity or high-performance computing, innovation and growth will be boosted in a targeted manner. At the same time, a future-oriented infrastructure is to be created that will establish Hamburg as a pioneering digital location in Europe in the long term.
