for young people

GENius - AI Workshops für Jugendliche von 13-16 Jahren

About the project

The GENius AI Workshop project is a series of workshops aimed at young people between the ages of 13 and 16. The aim of the series is to provide young people with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of generative artificial intelligence (AI). In addition to teaching the basic concepts of generative AI, the series also offers insights into specific areas of application that are relevant for both the personal and professional development of the participants.

The workshops each last three hours and are divided into different phases. A brief welcome is followed by a theoretical introduction to gGenerative AI. The participants then work in groups on a task tailored to the respective topic. An additional aspect of the workshops is the discussion of ethical issues, particularly on topics such as deep fakes and social responsibility in dealing with AI. Each workshop is rounded off with a reflection round and a joint conclusion.

The series focuses on three main topics,

which illustrate the versatility of gGenerative AI in different contexts:
(One topic is covered per workshop.)

  • Future Skills – Job Search & Application 2.0:
In this workshop, young people will learn how AI is influencing the world of work and how it can provide support in the job search and application process. The aim is to prepare participants for the changing requirements of the job market and provide them with practical tools.
  • Tech for Tomorrow – Climate and AI:
This workshop deals with the role of AI in the fight against climate change. Young people will learn how technological innovations in the field of AI contribute to the development of sustainable solutions and how they can actively help shape them.
  • AI & Art – creativity redefined:
This shows how artificial intelligence can contribute to the creation of new works of art. Participants will be empowered to initiate their own creative processes and use AI to design art projects.

Goal

The GENius AI workshop series is not only intended to provide participants with practical skills, but also to encourage them to reflect on the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence and to critically question the ethical aspects of these technologies. In this way, the aim is to promote a well-founded and responsible attitude when dealing with AI.
