IntelMod

IntelMOD - Intelligent modernization platform based on functional cost splitting

About the project

IntelMOD is an interdisciplinary research project that develops innovative solutions for energy-efficient modernization in residential construction. With a focus on digitalization, transparency and user-friendliness, the aim is to create a platform that connects all relevant stakeholders – landlords, tenants and owners. The project combines legal, technical and economic perspectives to create a holistic approach for the sustainable further development of the housing stock. In this way IntelMOD makes an important contribution to simplifying complex modernization processes and supports the achievement of national and international climate targets.

Focal points

The project IntelMOD project is developing an intelligent platform to support modernization measures in residential construction. This platform is aimed at landlords, tenants and homeowners and provides transparent information on the economic, ecological and social impact of various energy-efficient refurbishment options. A central component is functional cost splitting, which clearly divides the costs of energy-related measures into maintenance and energy-related additional costs.

Goal

IntelMOD aims to reduce barriers to investment in the area of energy-efficient renovations by enabling transparent and fair cost allocation. By providing a user-friendly platform, the aim is to reduce disputes between the parties involved and increase acceptance of energy-related modernizations. Ultimately, the project should help to improve the energy quality of the housing stock and thus contribute to achieving the climate targets.
