It is known from practice and research that in human-machine interaction, the willingness and acceptance of people towards (new) technical applications is the most important key to success and productivity in application and cooperation.
In other words, the potential of artificial intelligence can only be realized in organizations if the people in the organization are motivated and participate.
But what is important here? What do employees expect? How can they be motivated to embrace new and technically complex changes? What needs to be considered when introducing AI into processes and workflows in existing organizations?
The workshop provides answers to precisely this question. It is based on the results of the first major survey on AI requirements for and from employees from the beginning of 2020, which provided some very surprising insights. Employees have clear expectations when it comes to the use of AI systems in their job. Addressing these expectations correctly and bringing people and AI together in a meaningful division of labor is a major challenge. And it can be solved – if you know the expectations of your employees and take them seriously.
Andreas Moring is Professor of Digital Economy, Innovation and AI at the International School of Management (ISM) in Hamburg, ARIC Ambassador and topic mentor for human-machine cooperation at ARIC Hamburg.
