About the speaker

In addition to his work in Symantec’s EMEA CTO Office and as Field Engineering Manager at PGP Corporation , he has worked as an expert and technology consultant in the industry.
He is in constant contact with security managers in companies, authorities, organizations and players in the security industry. In addition to his technical expertise in areas such as network and system security, threat intelligence, cryptography, PKI and DLP, he has experience in product management, consulting and business development.
As a speaker, author and lecturer on cyber security, Thomas Hemker actively participates in the community. In industry associations and committees (e.g. TeleTrust, ITU-T) he works on standardization topics, among others. He is a founding member of the German (ISC)2 chapter, the ISACA Innovation & Tech Talk group and was part of the ENISA Threat Landscape Stakeholder Group and the ISF (Information Security Forum) Advisory Council.
