Vernissage am 10. November, 17 Uhr im Jupiter - 4. Etage (ehemals Karstadt Sport), Mönckebergstraße 2–4
Creative AI is used in many creative fields to generate ideas and provide inspiration, including in urban design. However, conventional data-based methods are also increasingly being used in urban planning. For example, traffic, sustainable local production as well as environmental and energy factors are simulated and planned using AI and data science models. There will also be some exhibits on this aspect.

A total of around 30 views of the city will be shown and explained, as well as some interactive models. The views will be on public display for 10 days.
The opening event will provide an overview of current developments in creative AI and explain the exhibits in the artistically designed surroundings of the Jupiter Haus der Kreativgesellschaft.
Program
- 5 pm: Generative AI Insights
Werner Bogula (ARIC) will present the current status of Generative AI from a technical, application and business perspective. What is possible, where are we heading? - 17:20: AI for better cities
Axel Sylvester (Fab Lab) and Dirk Pieper (Zirkular) give an insight into how technology and creativity are helping to make our cities more liveable. - 17:30: AI in City Design
Dr. Ayse Glass (HCU) introduces the exhibition in a walk through and tells how the artworks were created. - From 6 pm: Networking
AR Presentation COUP
How does the wind sweep through the streets? How noisy will the playground be? And how will pedestrians move around in a new park? These key questions in urban planning can be simulated using the interactive tool “COUP” (Cockpit for Collaborative Urban Planning).
The research project, led by Prof. Dr. Jörg Noennig (Chair of Digital City Science), is an interactive tool that uses innovative technology to provide a basis for decision-making in urban planning and design. It will also be presented during the opening.
