Proteins form the machinery of our body, without which we could not exist. They ensure that we can see, they ward off pathogens and human digestion would be inconceivable without proteins.
But how are proteins actually formed? What do they look like and why, and how can AI in particular help us to better understand their structures and functions? We will be addressing these questions at the FoldForum on November 22.
After an introduction to the topics of proteins, biosynthesis and AI applications that can be used to predict protein structure, Hamburg scientists will discuss the impact of AI-based structure prediction on science, medicine and society.
The scientific part will be flanked by a live demonstration of the use of AI-based protein structure prediction programs. There will also be a keynote speech by a start-up founder. And more time to round off the evening with drinks and snacks and discuss the topics in depth.
The FoldForum is a cooperative event of AUFBRUCH.Hamburg and the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (Aric e.V.). This format is offered within the framework of EDIH Hamburg with the support of the European Union and the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank.
