Cooperation agreement ARIC e.V. – DIE FAMILIENUNTERNEHMER

In February 2020, DIE FAMILIENUNTERNEHMER and the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) signed a cooperation agreement and agreed to work closely together in the future.

Co-initiator and CEO of ARIC Alois Krtil is very pleased about the cooperation and the future collaboration:

“Family businesses form the backbone of the economy in Germany and are therefore the right target group to bring innovations to the markets in a wide range of technology areas. We are delighted that the first projects in the field of artificial intelligence between ARIC and members of Familienunternehmer Hamburg have already started!”

Henning Fehrmann, Regional Chairman of DIE FAMILIENUNTERNEHMER in the Hamburg metropolitan region, sees the cooperation as both an opportunity and a responsibility: “ARIC e.V. is an essential building block for the development of the Hamburg metropolitan region in the areas of innovation and future technology. Artificial intelligence (AI) is the cross-sectional technology for making the best possible use of data. With the ARIC, northern Germany finally has an excellently positioned institute that brings AI closer to companies and actively networks interested parties and experts from business and science. Now the city must take the final step and create internationally attractive framework conditions for AI-based companies in order to be successful in the race to become a European innovation hub – a Great Freedom 4.0.”

Both initiatives aim for a long-term and sustainable partnership. Joint events, projects and information formats are on the agenda.

The two initiatives complement each other perfectly, so that the respective members benefit from the cooperation.

DIE FAMILIENUNTERNEHMER are the strong voice of entrepreneurship. They represent the economic policy interests of 180,000 family entrepreneurs in Germany, who employ eight million people subject to social insurance contributions.
