In 2020, I read “Quantum Marketing” by Raja Rajamannar – a book about the future of marketing. It was about new technologies that will turn our industry upside down. And then came the chapter on AI. I was fascinated. Something inside me knew that this would change everything.
From then on, there was no stopping me. I soaked up everything – books, podcasts, articles. No matter how technical it got, I wanted to understand how AI would change marketing.
And suddenly I was in the thick of it. At AI events, surrounded by physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists. And then me: a woman. From marketing. Was that intimidating? It definitely was. Did it put me off? Not for a second.
I knew: this is my thing. And I stuck with it.

“AI reinforces my strengths – and compensates for my weaknesses.”

What fascinates me about AI? It enhances my strengths – and compensates for my weaknesses.
For example, I was never a born copywriter. Ideas? I had them. But on paper? Boring. Convoluted. I did workshops, booked coaching sessions – and then AI came along. BOOM. Suddenly my texts were on point. My thoughts became clear, my messages precise.
And that’s exactly the point: AI raises my potential to a new level. It is my sparring partner, my personal assistant – and it makes me better in many areas.
I am faster. Clearer. More strategic. Because I play things through with AI, recognize patterns, change perspectives.
Sometimes it feels like Michelle 4.0 – with superpowers.
Today, it’s a matter close to my heart to show others exactly that – especially in marketing, where many are still afraid of contact and think: Too technical. Too complicated. Too soulless.
AI will have a massive impact on our industry – and that is precisely why we need to understand it: the potential, the limits, the opportunities, the risks. Because only those who understand can help shape it.

AI will enable us to understand even better what our customers really want. In its most extreme form, it can even predict what customers need before they know it themselves.
I am convinced that AI will revolutionize marketing. And we have two options: Either we watch other marketers drive the change – or we acquire the knowledge to lead the revolution ourselves.
I’m in favor of the latter!
