Patent attorney Karsten Heinemeyer, AdvInno GmbH and attorney Jan Schnedler, ARIC e.V.
Is artificial intelligence patentable? Can algorithms be protected by technical property rights at the patent office or are they already sufficiently protected by copyright law? If artificial intelligence generates new inventions, are they eligible for protection? What requirements must software-based solutions fulfill in order to be eligible for protection under patent law and what is meant by the term “technicality” in the patent system? Does AI call the entire patent system into question – or is it just another new technology? What does the allpriorart.com/about/art project actually want to achieve? These are all questions that we would like to answer in our workshop.
There will be a 20-minute introduction to the topic by Mr. Heinemeyer and then a discussion in which open questions can be asked and contributions to the discussion can be made.
The workshop is free of charge.
