ARIC Tip | AI Forum: AI in aviation

Das KI-Forum 2025 ist Teil einer neuen Veranstaltungsreihe des KI-Instituts der Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/ Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg für Fachleute aus Forschung und Industrie, die sich mit praxisnahen Anwendungen und aktuellen Entwicklungen im Bereich Künstliche Intelligenz beschäftigen.

Each edition of the forum is dedicated to a thematic focus – in this kick-off event, the focus is on “AI in aviation”. You can look forward to:

• A keynote speech by Dr.-Ing. Jörg Schaupp, Airbus Aerostructures GmbH, on current opportunities and challenges in the use of AI in aviation
• Concise PhD pitches presenting innovative research work in this field, followed by a poster session
• Networking with representatives from science, business and industry – over drinks and a light snack (catering will be provided)

The aim of the series is to promote the exchange between research and practice and to provide impetus for new collaborations. Future editions of the forum will be dedicated to other areas of AI application.
