Children & Teens | AI & Art – Creativity Redefined

Just how creative is artificial intelligence, really? In our interactive workshop, children and teens explore the world of generative AI through play. They gain clear insights into the technical workings of language models and image generation models (diffusion models) and get to try out firsthand how they can use AI to bring their own ideas to life. In this way, they learn in a playful manner to use language models consciously and purposefully to support their work.

The focus is on a creative task: Participants develop their own fantasy worlds—from magical objects to unique creatures—and use image generation to visualize their ideas. Throughout the process, we always critically reflect on what generative AI can and cannot do.

In this way, we promote a thoughtful and responsible approach to AI, with a focus on issues such as copyright, citation of sources, the identification of risks (e.g., deepfakes), and appropriate safeguards.
