Qualification | Responsible AI – Sustainable AI applications for SMEs

17.10. ab 10:0016:00
ARIC & RZ Nord: IQZ Qualifizierung: Nachhaltige KI für den Mittelstand am 25. Oktober 2025

Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer just a topic for large companies or the tech industry. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can also benefit from AI today. For this to succeed and for AI to be used to its full potential, a conscious and sustainable approach is required. But what does that mean in concrete terms?

As part of our Zukunftszentrum Nord project, we offer a free qualification program entitled Responsible AI – Sustainable AI applications for SMEs for SMEs. In this qualification program, you will get a practical introduction to the responsible use of AI and learn how AI can be used in your company not only efficiently and innovatively, but also fairly, transparently and in a resource-saving manner. Apply for a place, participation is free of charge!

  • Title: Responsible AI – Sustainable AI applications for SMEs
  • Date: October 17
  • Time: 10-16 h
  • Location: Dockland

Procedure of the qualification concept

  1. Introduction to Responsible AI
In an interactive keynote speech on the responsible use of AI in companies, you will learn the basics of Responsible AI – in particular the dimensions of explainability, fairness & sustainability, law & ethics, security & robustness and governance. Five interactive tasks will encourage you to take a practical look at specific AI use cases.
  2. Responsible AI tools for SMEs
Artificial intelligence does not always have to come from the USA; powerful and practical AI applications are also being developed in Europe that are particularly exciting for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In this session, we will provide a compact overview of responsible AI tools such as the AI-on-Demand Platform, n8n and Mistral. The focus is on interactive experimentation and discovering how these tools can be used profitably in everyday working life.
  3. Showroom tour & hands-on AI
During a guided tour of the ARIC showroom, the speakers will use selected exhibits to show how Responsible AI principles can be taken into account in the development and application of AI solutions.
  4. Workshop: Using AI sustainably in companies
As part of a workshop, you will develop approaches in small groups on how AI projects can be implemented sustainably in companies. The focus will be on data protection and security, energy consumption of AI models and social partnership transformation processes. The group results will be presented and discussed in plenary.
