The possible applications of drones are extremely diverse. They range from the inspection and surveying of buildings, technical facilities and infrastructures, to the transport of goods and passengers, to use in the medical sector and in environmental and disaster protection. Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used, especially in the evaluation of sensor data, e.g. image data, geodata or 3D representations of objects obtained with drones. The dual nature of these technologies opens up new possibilities and in many cases also increases the speed and security of existing processes.

After keynote speeches by Alois Krtil (Artifical Intelligence Center Hamburg e.V.), Dr. Stefan Milz and Sebastian Süß (Spleenlab), David Küster (Synergeticon) and Marius Eschen (homePORT/HPA project), the subsequent barcamp will give participants the opportunity to contribute their own questions on the use of drones, to jointly develop application scenarios and to discuss them in an interdisciplinary plenary session.

The event will be held online on April 19, 2021 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
