The establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) eV was announced by Senator Michael Westhagemann and representatives from business and science on September 30, 2019 in the town hall. The first event we have together with Yours Truly on October 23, 2019 the event AI & Gin carried out.
Over 100 guests were greeted by an exciting lecture by Alois Krtil, co-founder of the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg, and a gin tasting with Hendrik Schaulin from Phenomenal drinks . There was enough time for an exchange on topics related to artificial intelligence with drinks, snacks and music.
“We were surprised by the great interest ourselves. The event was soon fully booked, although we had already expanded from 80 seats to 100 seats, ”said Jan Schnedler from ARIC.
The evening at Yours Truly started with the finest types of gin and handcrafted tonic syrup from pHenomenal Drinks. Henrik had over 20 fine types of gin, including one non-alcoholic Siegfried Wonderleaf “Gin” included.
Then the managing director Meik Vogler from Yours Truly welcomed the guests. In the following lecture by Alois Krtil on the “State of AI” he gave a short and lively overview of 70 years of AI history and also went into the current “State of the Art” fields of application in the media industry.
The impulses and topics from the lecture were discussed intensively among the participants.
Finally, on the roof terrace in beautiful autumn weather, in addition to the exchange about artificial intelligence, it was again “IT’S GIN O’CLOCK” with another fine GIN tasting and a gigantic cheese buffet, where the evening ended comfortably.
The event AI and gin will take place twice a year in future in cooperation with YoursTruly.
